Whether for Law Enforcement, Personal Defense, Competition, or Target Shooting the foundation of effective accuracy and speed of delivery is a solid understanding core fundamentals proficiently. This is not a basic, fundamental course, but a focused class for the shooter who is seeking demonstrable improvement in their ability with a handgun. The course core is a set of standards that will benchmark and evaluate the student throughout the course. The standards are based on real data and dissection of officer involved shooting, self defense shooting and armed confrontations. The standards offer levels of performance to pace progress and challenge shooters of any level.
The method of instruction will start with an assessment of the student's performance with no instruction as a baseline. Elements of handgun skill are then broken down into skills where learning will occur and performed. Once skills are introduced, demonstrated and performed, the lesson develops to compress skills in to skill sets that build as the course progresses. The pace and challenge of the drills will increase in the duration of the course to expose performance gains or where work needs to be done. Numerous shooting drills and exercises will build skills and understanding in these areas and advance accuracy and progress.

The classroom begins with a very brief review of the basic course, then advances to detailed lecture of the platform, ballistics, gear, and application of the information.
There are no required pre-requisites, however the student must have a basic knowledge of the platform and understand how to handle their carbine safely. The student needs to have a proven reliable handgun, this is not the course to take if your firearm is right out of the box and you have never fired it. The handgun needs to have a known zero if using a RDS. If you have never attended a formal handgun training course it is highly recommended to start with our intro or fundamental courses. This is not a basic, beginner course.
A qualification at the conclusion of the course will determine if the student receives a certificate of completion. All students will receive training documentation, however in order to pass the course you must shoot the qualification drills successfully.
Not every student will pass, student performance on demand will be the ultimate factor.
